Just got the results of two of my midterms and i'm very pleased with the outcome. This term has definitely been my busiest term thus far in waterloo, so it's really rewarding to see marks that i haven't seen since highschool. As great as this term has been, I have not time to celebrate as THE MOST critical part of my term is coming up in the next two weeks. I have an intro to property and casualty insurance midterm tomorrow and my SOA exam next tuesday. The plan is to stay focused and absorb as much of the course M syllabus as humanly possible in this coming week. I will judge the success/failure of this term based on the results of the coming weeks.
on another note, i REALLY have to stop eating rotten fruits and vegetables because my stomache is getting the worst of it. I had a protein shake today for dinner made with strawberries that i bought a week ago.. i guess they went bad... Actually, my problem isn't so much eating rotten fruits and vegetables as it is more of determining which fruits and vegetables are rotten. now if you will excuse me, nature calls. |

Hello readers,
As some of you may or may not know, I made UW Hip Hop's OUCH* team. It's been a year since i've seriously committed myself to UW Hip Hop and on my first day back i could feel the change in atmosphere... the club has grown from the 20 or so members when i started, to well over 100! I looked around the studio and could barely recognize all the NEW faces...new faces of younger students...it's a trip because looking at them reminds me of myself back in my first year at UWHH when i Looked up to the upper year students and got guidance from them. I look at myself and realize that i'm the upper year student and it's now my turn to provide some guidance to these up and coming 'kids'. It just shows how everything comes around in full circle.
well those are my thoughts at the moment, it's a friday night and I must get back to studying...
P.S. - I miss having a life
*OUCH stands for Ontario University Competition of Hip Hop and was founded by Waterloo's own Ray Mendoza, former president of UWHH 4 years ago... what started as a competition of 5 schools has now grown into a competition of 12+ schools complete with celebrity appearances and performances... this year TOmmy the Clown and Maestro Fresh Wes are scheduled to perform. |

The two winter Toronto teams are off to solid starts. the Raps are 3-0 in preseason action after being the nets today, while the Leafs are 3-1-2... judging by the boxscores, they both look like exciting teams to watch (Leafs especially)... can't wait until winter term when i can watch them on tv as opposed to the internet...hopefully, they'll both be fighting for a playoff spot at that point. |
